On February 2, 2015, a crowded auction room of bidders turned up the heat as the bids boiled down to three active bidders.
The highly desired Kansas Kaw Bottom property was sold within twenty minutes, and closed only a month later. The highest bid went to Randall Kresie, a neighboring landowner, at $6,200/acre. Kelvin Heck of Heck Land Company represented the seller, Arensberg Brothers Partnership, in the auction. The buyer was not represented.
“We knew this land had value, and we were pleased to see it sold to a local farmer who will continue using the land for crop production. Kelvin Heck had previously represented my uncle (Jack Arensberg) and came highly recommended. Heck Land Company had the expertise, resources and contacts needed to effectively market the property and greatly exceeded my expectations. Kelvin did a great job handling our auction and making sure we had a sale price we could all be happy with.” – Mark Arensberg of Arensberg Brothers Partnership
Kresie, the proud new owner of the 75-acre plot, indicates that he will continue row crop production on the land, most likely producing soybean and/or corn. Heck Land Company thanks Andy Conser of United Country Real Estate Services for an entertaining and successful auction.
